Chapter 4: Reading Critically

Chapter 4 explained how to critically read versus evaluating sources. At first you should just skim through the source, then you should go through and take notes, lastly you should go back and read the notes you took and parts you highlighted. In order to successfully go through your sources, you need to take notes on the main ideas, reasons the author presents, and the evidence they support. You should also write down information that is hard to understand. This process will make it easier to pick out which sources are best to use.
